Hemisfear belongs on the “coolest of cool” automobile list. Hot Rod meets Prowler, meets Ferrari combined with serious American Muscle; that’s Chip Foose’s Hemisfear. The 100% carbon fiber body and interior panels will make any specialty car company envious. Motivation comes from a 6.4 liter Hemi connected to a six-speed ZF transaxle that will rocket this two-seater to automotive stardom.
So what did we bring to Hemisfear? You guessed it, an all-original suspension system that we designed and manufactured exclusively for this super car. When we delivered it to the Hemisfear build team and they were blown away! Double a-arms front and rear, 4130 aero tubing, push rods, rockers, spherical bearings, rod ends, CNC machined billet ends, multi-adjustable aluminum Koni racing shocks and Hypercoil springs. Truly, outrageous stuff.

Talk about red eyes. This project consumed zillions of computer hours in Solid Works, Cosmos FEA, and our favorite suspension design program, in addition to plenty of “old fashioned” sketching. A fantastic opportunity for the Hotchkis team to design this complete system.
Chevy muscle car owners should take note. It’s getting crazy out there. Everyone seems to be jumping on the suspension bandwagon. Exhaust guys, engine guys, guys that a few years ago could care less about handling are now talking “g” machine. Who knows how many companies are in the suspension business. Appears new ones are starting daily.
A word of caution before you rip and tear into your suspension project. Ask yourself a few questions and determine your project goals. Those nearly sleepless nights, should not be devoted to just planning your perfect engine, make it perfect ride too.
How cool is this? Two thumbs up for Terry Cole and gang for providing Max Chevy. Web based media is going nuts, and this is a great new arena to talk Chevy! Features, editorials, videos, timely event coverage, classifieds; plenty of the latest “go fast” performance parts news, and it’s constantly updated.
And of course, just sailing upon the open sea has a place here, too. Remember, you’ve got to get away sometimes!
