ONLY FOR YOU, DR.
Great work with the Uncle Robin LSX project engine. Thanks for the ink.
If possible, could I get a PDF of that article to circulate internally?
Thanks,

GM Performance Parts
Since we’re an online magazine, we don’t have a “hard copy,” but we’ll make an exception for GM. Thanks for the kind words.
EL CAMINO FAN
Well, I don't drive my 540CID '67 Malibu to work every day, but I DO drive a very nice 350CID ‘69 El Camino to work every day. In fact the Camino is the newest car I own. I recently finished the Malibu and it will see some strip time when the weather cools down. It is currently 111 degrees in Phoenix. By the way, I also have a ‘66 Biscayne with a 396/4-speed.

Hey Mike, you’re gonna love our new project car story. Jeff Burk is turning a 1967 El Camino into “El Camino Nitrouso.” The series starts in the August issue. Come along for the ride!
WELL, WE CERTAINLY ARE A WORK IN PROGRESS
Ro,
Haven't heard from you in a while. From the by-line in your comments, I guess the custom aspect of Love Is Blue overweighed the performance levels and fact it did the Long Haul in 2004 HRPT. That’s OK. I didn't build it for the glory or the magazines, I built this monster to blow people’s minds on the street and still love seeing their jaw drop wide open as I rumble pass.
Keep up the fine work on Max Chevy. As you know, I love works in progress.

SOME STORY IDEAS FOR US
Whatever you do keep the McFarland stuff coming; the man is a national treasure. Someone should do an in-depth interview of Kinsler before he fades out of sight, he's got some stories, ask him a bout the 3 million dollar race carb Chev trashed after he showed them what a fi could do.
Also Dick Arons and Ted Spehar. Carrol Caudle also -- the ‘55 I've got had a Caudle motor in it when it ran F/MP. The guy who had it, LeRoy Psyk, said the biggest performance gain was the shoebox tunnel ram he put on, replaced the manifold only, everything else stayed exactly as before, car picked up .25, and he was blown away. Drag racing isn't the same; glad I was around when it was good.
Good luck with Max Chevy.

I wood like to see more Monte Carlos 1970/1988. You don’t see many in mags.

WE CAN, BUT WILL WE?
Can you all do an article on side gas porting and vertical gas porting? Also who makes a fixture? Can you do an article on dome profiling?
Thanks.
