As has become a ritual, Yager and his dedicated employees at Mid America Motorworks, who actually volunteered to work the event, played host to more than 45,000 fans during the three-day weekend affair and made sure there were plenty of activities going on at all times. And of course, no great party would be without great food and entertainment. Neither were missing at this year’s gala as food vendors offering all tastes of cuisine were on hand, and, as again has become tradition, the entertainment was top notch with the legendary rock band REO Speedwagon performing a free open air concert Saturday evening on the south field of the Mid America grounds where more than 20,000 fans got to listen to two hours of classics and new music from the veteran performers.
