Yager, Mid America Motorworks founder and Chief Cheerleader, said of the weekend, “Funfest has grown each year since its inception. It is a great way to celebrate our customers and the camaraderie shared by Corvette enthusiasts.” And Mike’s title of Chief Cheerleader was never more evident, as he moved through the crowd each day, shaking hands and greeting customers, GM engineers, industry VIP’s and others by name.

With so much going on at the event it was nearly impossible to see the same car twice (of course, there were quite a few new red C6’s on hand that did look a little similar).  But having been to the Yager’s affair 10 out of the 13 times, I can honestly say that it is one of the most fun car events that I attend and truly look forward to making it every year.  If you are a Corvette owner, or even if you’re not, why not schedule a trip to Mid America for next year’s edition.  If you’re like me, your feet maybe sore by the end of the weekend and you’ll probably be hoarse from talking so much, but you’ll have a disk full of cool images and memories of a fun time.
