It was a nostalgic pairing of ’57 Chevys in the money round, as Scialpi's blue and white Bel Air held strong to take the win over Zach with a less-than-awe-inspiring 6.669 at 206.23 mph effort, as Barklage had a hard time keeping his shoebox straight and crossed the stripe for the instant loss.

As usual, bracket racing action was intense with hundreds of local racers vying for the cash. While on the other side of the grandstands were hundreds of the coolest Bow-Tie machines from in and around the Lone Star State competing in the show car portion of the extravaganza. As has been the case for the entire year, wherever the Super Chevy Show Series stops, hot Chevy machines tend to follow.
After a couple of weeks off, the Super Chevy Show winds up its 2006 season with the grand finale at Gainesville Raceway’s historic facility during the weekend of October 20-22.
