The Grand Marshal of this year’s event was legendary car owner Roland Leong, who campaigned the historic team of dragsters and Funny Cars under the fabled name of “The Hawaiian.” Complementing Leong were a long list of honored guests including Bill Crossley, Don Enriquez, Don "Too Bad" Hampton, and Fred Crow.  Special awards were given to legendary competitors Chris Karamesines and Tommy Auger.

For GM fans this year’s event was second to none with both A/Gas finalists competing in Chevrolets.  Bow-Ties were also prominent in Jr. Fuel and the nostalgia class, which was the largest category with more than 75 entries.

The car show and ongoing flow of the sport’s major names have grown this annual event, held during the month of October, to a must see for vintage drag Racing fans from all over the country. This year could aptly be referred to as the Chevy brigade as vintage GM tin from the early 1920's to the present were on hand in force.
