Paul Richards got a chance to chat with his father Gary Richards and Al Hanna. Al and Gary were partners at one point in their careers as Nitro Funny Car racers during the '60s and early '70s on the East Coast.
Another local who turned out was Mike Smith in Paul Richard’s Camaro IHRA FC. He made a 3.56/229 shot on Sunday afternoon, but it felt so good he stayed with it ‘till about 1000 feet. A real nitro coupe.
