Unfortunately, we didn’t get the name of the driver of this sanitary '51 when the race was rained out on Sunday, Aug. 12, and everyone hauled ass out of the place. We did catch a shot of it with the wheels up (and this shot of the injected big-block, we think) in the lanes.

The Phantom 409 shoebox hooked us. Didn’t get a chance to see if this car actually had a “mystery motor” in it but it did run respectable 6.80’s on gas and carburetors.

Again, we don’t know the driver, but the ‘glass front end, moon tank, straight axle, and the classic two-tone paint gets it a spot in the MaxChevy.
