Doug Horween (above) from Lox, Fla., brought out his blown ’68 Camaro to compete with the big boys and ran a best of 4.40 on Saturday. He ran Walsh in the first round of eliminations, putting a .091 holeshot on Walsh’s .206 reaction time, but “The Kid” ran him down with a 4.029/185.31 to Horween’s 4.477/167.72

Jerry Hunt’s classic ’93 Corvette (above right) is from Hazelwood, Mo. He defeated Doug Winters in the first round with a great .007 light coupled with a 4.294/171.73 to a 4.363/174.59 for Winters.
