As for Goodmark and Retro Rides’ award-winning offering, here’s what we learned at SEMA. A spectrum of products is available starting with a plain bare unibody (incorporating the proprietary hybrid design). The unibody structures are available in phases and are exclusively distributed by Goodmark.

The basic unibody is priced at $16,500. Reasonable considering what you get and what “junk” cars are going for on the open market.
PHASE I IS A BASIC UNIBODY
The project can be built using the customer's donor car or Retro Rides can supply the titled starting point. This host car will be the surviving entity as far as VIN and title are concerned. Phase I includes all the welded together components that make up a unibody (think in terms of taking a car apart by removing every single item that can be unbolted, and what you have left is a bare unibody). All sheet metal is replaced with brand-new
reproduction panels from Goodmark, so that the resulting unibody is free of rust or prior damage issues that can compromise the quality of the finished car. Included is roof, floor, rockers, quarter panels, firewall, A and C pillars, tail filler panel, and filler panel below rear window. The whole assembly is finished in epoxy primer. Cost for the basic unibody is $16,500, using the customer's first-Gen 'host' car. The fourth-Gen 'donor' body parts needed, as well as all other labor and materials are included in this price. Retro Rides can supply the first-Gen car in the desired body configuration at market prices.
PHASE II INCLUDES ALL EXTERIOR SHEETMETAL
![]() New floors, roof, pillars and trunk all make for a new-old ride. Of course, if you don’t want a roof, they can build you a convertible, as well. |
This phase adds ALL the exterior sheet metal, to include doors, fenders, hood, front filler panel, lower valance and trunk lid. All panels are properly aligned and gapped. Again, the entire assembly is finished in epoxy primer, and is priced at $21,500 plus the 'host' car. The fourth-Gen donor body parts needed are included in this price. As with Phase I, all the suspension pickup points are there for the customer to continue the build process, using fourth-Gen F-Body suspension, brakes, and steering components, or parts designed for those cars by aftermarket companies.
