Of course, it’s the smart ones who pick and choose their “targets” gleaned from the SEMA Show Directory thereby saving them a ton of time, energy and wasted sole wear. But then, even the best of intentions usually fly right out the window the very minute you walk through the Central Exhibit Hall and eyeball all those marvelous “goodies!” I mean, how can any hardcore auto-enthusiast resist looking at each and every one of those marvelous “toys?”

Making its grand debut at SEMA, and exemplifying the cool cars on hand, was Painless Performance Products LS1-powered ‘66 El Camino. Painted in Painless’ official black and yellow colors, the Elky featured a full array of Painless Performance Products wiring and software.

This orange and black ‘69 Camaro street machine was in the Baer Brakes booth. The car was powered by a rather healthy small-block, and obviously featured one of Baer’s killer four-wheel-disc brake systems.

And on the other end of the Baer Brakes display was Jerry Hornbuckle’s just-completed ‘55 Chevrolet big-block pos cart. Built by Ontario, California’s Fred’s Custom Hot Rods, the sedan captured a Mothers “Top 10” award.
