With foam fender buck removed, the Viperized suspension is much more evident.

ASC’s Mike Ruscio begins closing up the passenger compartment.
Engine compartment becomes trunk (right). Fuel cell, radiator, and deep cycle battery (mounted on the rails) will be the only occupants.

Once the passenger pod was contained, ASC banged out the wheel tubs, attached them to the main rails, and finished the enclosures. The ladder frame and hefty spine make this chassis extremely resistant to torsional and bending forces—the key to exemplary handling. At 103 inches, the wheelbase is four more than stock.

Spine is mighty, massive, and defines the passenger compartment. Though it looks cramped, a meaty 6-foot-2 operator fits easily without bumping his head or squashing his nose.
