BODY

If need be, the car can be easily split in two by loosening a few Dzus fasteners (thanks, Teddy) and applying a couple of sturdy lads. The body features steel quarter panels, roof, trunk lid, and doors. All the window holes are plugged with DOT safety glass and the side glass even has power assist. To extend the racer image, its Hairy Glass nose and hood section are rigged with DOT lighting via street rod style contact strips for the quick-release doors and nose so there’s no need to unplug the harness to remove either of them. That insistent paint is House of Kolor Tangelo Pearl.

PERFORMANCE

There are no dyno sheets or dragstrip timeslips but Lou thinks maybe the Beretta’s got at least a low nine in it. But that’s not the idea. This piece has driven out of Racecar Hell forever. Its performance is in the heart and mind of the beholder. The Beretta vibes racecar and accepts civilian life on its own terms.
