| The kit comes with these trick grommets, which fit in the location originally occupied, by the stock bulb socket. The grommets have a small hole that you will route the wiring pigtail through so it can be connected to the rest of the wiring harness. | |

Ooops! Well, not everything passes quality control with flying colors! We noticed that one of the screws holding the lens into the housing just kept turning without tightening down. It appears that when the housing was tapped, the hole was made too large. A little silicone rubber here should do the job.
You remember LEDs, they are the little lights that shine on your first digital watch, your VCR (DVD player?),
microwave over and justabout any other piece of electronic equipment you’ve purchased over the last 20-odd years. They are marvels of electronic wizardry, but basically a simple way to brighten up our lives and help us see things a lot easier. So with this philosophy, it only stands to reason that they should be able to do the same for the rear lights on our cool cars. And aside from their obvious improvement, there’s another byproduct that comes with using this technology -- you’ll seldom if ever again have a burned out taillight unless it’s a problem with the system, fuse or blinker relay. Bottom line: they are worth the price of admission.

Note how dim the original light bulbs appear on this basically stock 1969 Nova. With the LED lights installed, there won’t be any problem for the guy behind you knowing when you’re about to brake.
