The American Super Car V7 went to SEMA, spreading its black bat wings and annihilating egos.  On Wednesday, GM’s Director of Design Kip Wasenko announced that the ASC team’s V7 earned the GM 2007 SEMA Design Award, Most Prestigious Vehicle. Wasenko’s praise was perhaps more important the award itself: “In my 38 years in the design field, this car represents the finest execution I’ve ever seen.”

The following images were recorded during the final 26-hour thrash prior to its cross-country sojourn in ASC’S Art Johnson’s car hauler. The ASC crew did a year’s worth of work in 7 months, kids—and they look like it here. When the car returns from Sin Town, we’ll fill in the all blanks, hopefully in time for the November issue of MaxChevy.

Turbo Re-Source 77mm turbochargers are awaiting union with the Brummet Marine air-to-liquid intercooler. There was slicing and dicing aplenty, you bet. Note Earl’s lines and the original (but polished) Harrison overflow tank.
