Definitions and Dimensions:

Bare Block

Due to a vast difference of opinion among professional builders regarding specifications and procedures, blocks purchased bare are finished within GM +/- tolerances. Warhawk blocks have the following specs:

Deck Height: 9.240 or 9.800-inches

Cylinder Bore: 3.990 or 4.115-inches

Main Journals: 2.5615-inches

Lifter bores: 0.844-inch diameter, +/- 0.0005-inch

Stroke Notch: 4.250 inches. Minor clearance needed for 4.500-inch steel rods.

Prepped Block

Warhawk blocks purchased as prepped are sized to the above specs with the following exception: Cylinder Bores: 4.000 or 4.125-inches.

All prepped blocks will have dowel pins, ring dowels, freeze plugs, cam bearings and oil galley plugs installed. The block will need a final cleaning to be ready for assembly.

World has combined the attributes of the GM C5R and the LS7 cylinder heads, plus some tweaks of its own to produce what is probably the ultimate casting configuration. The LS7X head offers 255cc intake ports, 2.20 and 1.65-inch valves, with a 12-degree angle for the valves as well as the rocker arm studs. The spring seats can handle 1.65-inch diameter valve springs and valves with a 5.500-inch overall length. Squeeze and boost junkies will laud the addition of provisions for two extra head studs per cylinder, thus increasing clamping force.
