Make sure that the spacer is located towards the inside of the mounting bucket, slide the bolt through bar eye, and secure with the large nylon lock nut. These pieces must be assembled before being fitted to the uni-body.

Usually the OE “caged” nut will break when removed from the mounting bucket. Fortunately, many industrial fastener outlets carry them, as do restoration companies. This is how the front of the lower control bar should look when correctly mounted. Note the finished cutout. Head of bolt fits snugly beneath the fenderwell flashing.

With the lower mounts and bars positioned in the unibody, we installed the Currie housing. We attached the lower bars to the corresponding brackets on the axle housing.

We used a bottle jack to lift the housing and attach the upper four-link bars. The Currie 9 looks right at home.
