ASC built the rear module mounting specifications using a featherweight Pay-R composite LS1 mock-up engine and an empty Mendeola transaxle case.

Beefy Mendeola transaxle is the largest piece in the entire drivetrain. Gear changes are made via a steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifter assembly.

The first cut is the deepest: ASC’s Brian Gagye removed the original floor/transmission hump.

The lightweight Pay-R mock-up motor proved invaluable in the Corvette’s cramped confines.

The fully dressed engine is located directly behind the cockpit. Notice rollbar rudiments placed at the highest point of the chassis.

Viper-inspired rear suspension is at once extremely rugged and very lightweight. Final coil/over choice has yet to come.
