
Waste gates are Tial.
At idle, all you hear is the whine of the fuel pumps and until the oil gets to operating temp, the exhaust is a bit scratchy because there is no need or room enough for mufflers of any sort. At speed, the fuel pump noise diminishes to nil. We didn’t stand outside and listen to the car under full throttle, either, but you can certainly tell there’s something pretty wooly in the immediate vicinity—like those two Florida Highway Patrol officers who were looking around… and obviously up to no good. We fooled ya’, hah!

Intake charge is cooled by the design of the tubing and the massive intercooler. There is virtually no turbo lag. Tubes run from the engine down the “rocker panels” of the car where they covered by the super-slick bottom enclosure.
Sure, the rush is addictive but its there whenever you want it. The best part of about the assembly is how it performs on the street in ordinary driving. There’s not a lick of urgency, no weird noises; the car simply goes about its business like there was nothing untoward beneath. But when right your foot goes down, the force will pin you to the seat.

Bob’s a hard-core hot rodder, so he wanted to off the cast iron manifolds. Kook’s Custom Headers supplied long-tube 1 7/8-inch primaries, a 3-inch system, custom cats, and X-pipe. Bob had the whole schmear powder coated, of course.
